It is my great pleasure to invite you to experience the greatest attractions of any resort community.  We are the only resort still offering a free beach, which is also one of the largest and safest beaches in the world.  Also, we have 2-1/2 miles of the greatest boardwalk in the country, with more amusements than Disney world.  This is a city which enjoys entertaining its tourists with activities that contribute to good family fun.

Both before and after our traditional summer season, which is from Memorial Day until Labor Day, Wildwood is alive with outdoor events, which can't compare to those of any other tourist resort.  We have the unbelievable Monster Truck Show on the beach, the annual East Coast Boardwalk Nationals Car Show, the Thunder on the Sand Motocross Race, Wildwoods/ International Kite Festival, Stringband Weekend, the National Marbles Tournament and our weekly fireworks extravaganza, which only names a few.

Even the State of New Jersey Firemen come back year after year to enjoy the second largest fire related display in the country.  Our long awaited convention center should be open n the Spring of 2001, which will not only be an asset for the Firemen's Convention, but also to all the other conventions we have each year.

I pledge, as Mayor of the City of Wildwood, to impress you, our tourists, with a vacation filled with a combination of relaxation and excitement.  You will leave our City with both fond memories and an enthusiasm to return to our island for your next exciting adventure.  Fulfill your vacation dreams; come celebrate life in the Wildwoods!  You will be glad you did.
